Rising Star Camp (Ages 5-13)
PROMOTING STRONG CONFIDENT KIDS
Rising Star Camp (RSC) is a structured day camp specifically designed to promote self-esteem, conflict resolution skills, positive interactions and success in its participants. Our unique program accommodates children who may not have had the opportunity to attend day camp and is also designed to support children who have struggled with the traditional day camp experience.
Each day campers earn stickers with good choices/positive participation in camp activities. Every Friday participants who have earned a minimum of 20 stickers attend our weekly field trip and remaining earned stickers can be spent at the weekly “Sticker Store”.
Goal setting: campers create a personal goal each morning with their counselor and are provided time at the end of the day to discuss the progress made towards their goal.
RSC relies on small groups of 1:6 counselor to child ratio and a dedicated, experienced staff to ensure success and safety. We offer two-week sessions, for boys and girls ages 5-13. We support up to 30 participants per session. Each child may attend for a maximum of two sessions during the summer, so we may give as many children as possible the opportunity to attend.

RSC is located at Elks Pond – 180 Guerdat Rd, Torrington CT
Camp Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm
