See important Birthday information below:

• Waivers: All birthday party guests must have a waiver of liability signed by a parent or guardian. Waivers can be downloaded here and here or picked up at the Torrington Y . It is the responsibility of the registering adult to ensure these waivers are signed by each child’s parent or guardian and provide them to the front desk upon arrival. Attending adults must also sign their own waivers. Those without a waiver will not be able to participate.
• Guests: All birthday parties have a maximum guest limit of 20. This excludes adults. 
• Attire: Party goers should bring a clean pair of sneakers and comfortable clothes to move around in. Swimmers should bring a towel, change of clothes and goggles if preferred.
• Cake and Presents: A private room will be provided for cake and presents following the day’s activities. Chairs and tables will be set up prior to arrival. Registered families are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes early to prepare this room for guests. 
• Time: Parties are a 90 minutes in duration or 135 minutes for specialty parties.  
• Swim Testing: Swim parties will begin with a swim test of all participants. Based on their performance in this swim test, participants will be granted access to either the shallow or deep ends of the pool. Any participant who is under 6 years old, or who does not pass the swim test, will be considered a non-swimmer and must wear a life jacket and be accompanied in the water by an adult that is within arm’s reach.
